The CISE-ALERT Kick-off meeting took place on the 16th and 17th of November 2022 in Paris, France. The two-day event, hosted by the Project Coordinator - Secrétariat général de la mer - Première ministre (SGMer) was dedicated to the upcoming work and overall expectations from the project implementation.
The meeting provided an opportunity for all partners to discuss in details the objectives, structure and organization of the Work Packages and also the partners’ interest in the project: planned technical developments, data to be exchanged and use cases to be explored for the purpose of shifting CISE from the current transitional phase to an operational network.
During the event, the partnership has mapped, discussed and coordinated the immediate tasks and long-term goals of the project.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of Directorate-General Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency and the European Maritime Safety Agency, who provided further guidance and declared their support to the project initiative.
